Our Programs

The Montgomery County Food Bank has a number of programs to assist those in need.  The following is a listing of the programs that are currently available through our organization:

CurbHunger

CurbHunger is a food drive program developed and administered by the Montgomery County Food Bank, fueled by volunteer sponsors that solicit and collect food donations from neighborhoods of their choosing. Sponsors can be a business, church, non-profit organization, school organization, group of neighbors or even an individual. The program is "donor friendly" as food donations are picked up at the curb of the donor. CurbHunger food drives are staggered throughout the year in order to provide an even flow of food into the Montgomery County Food Bank's network of pantries. Montgomery County Food Bank provides oversight, but sponsors are primarily responsible for their own  CurbHunger food drive.  In return for their commitment, sponsors receive a sense of fulfillment that comes with contributing to a most worthy cause.  It also generates goodwill within the area and can be used as a team building event.
