Montgomery County United Way focuses on what truly matters, not just numbers and budgets. In 1955, a dedicated group of Montgomery County businessmen realized the growing need for improved funding of county health and human services. Their vision was that a single community-wide fund-raising campaign would better support local agencies and donor dollars would reach throughout the whole county. With this goal in mind, the Montgomery County United Way began its work.
Since those early years, Montgomery County has become the second fastest growing county in the state of Texas. This growth increases pressure on existing, overextended health and human services and increases demands for new services. Due to these pressures and demands, the scope of Montgomery County United Way has expanded. We now continuously focus on implementing fresh and inventive ideas that address the changing unmet needs of our growing county.
